Managers This is a two days’ workshop organized by the association on 29th & 30th June 2017 at Sheikh Zayeed Multipurpose Hall - Mombasa from 8:30am.
We have invited professionals to facilitate and guide discussions on the following critical areas: 1. Assessment framework as proposed in the new curriculum; The new curriculum is currently at the piloting stage awaiting implementation in 2018 in all schools with teacher training starting in September 2017. This session will address what head teachers need to know as they prepare for assessment of learning under the new curriculum.
2. The 21st Century student competencies; This session will equip head teachers with a better understanding of:- a) What are the 21st Century skills that students need to learn while in school. b) Who will teach the 21st century skills and how will they teach the children these skills. c) Why is the 21st century skills important and how is it going to prepare the child for the future.
3. Performance appraisals; This will aim to equip the head teachers with; a) A better understanding of the different abilities of teachers for growth and further development of teachers and the school. b) Skills to positively influence the working habits of teachers for success. c) Skills to develop the spirit of work and boosting the morale of teachers towards greater performance. 4. Setting Goals for performance excellence; Best practices in setting performance targets for Education excellence.

KPSA (Kenya Private Schools Association) covers private institutions whether low-cost, medium or high-cost provided that they are duly registered and pursuing a curriculum that has been approved by the Ministry of Education.
